iSYNC: Module for Most Accurate Synchronous Time Stamping

Precise time stamping of several input signals (IMU, GNSS, cameras, LIDAR, odometer)

iSYNC is a hardware which provides interfaces to external surveying sensors like IMU, GNSS receiver, laserscanner, cameras and odometer. The Data Valid Information (DVI) obtained from these external sensors (typically trigger pulses with RS422 or TTL level) are most accurately time stamped inside the iSYNC and an information about all acquired DVI together with the related time stamp is sent via Ethernet to a host computer.

Features

iSYNC provides input channels for

  • 2 x SYNC_IN (LVTTL or RS422 level, latency < 2 µs, max. 100 Hz)
  • 1 x SYNC_IN (LVTTL or RS422 level, latency < 2 µs, max. 400 Hz)
  • 1 x SYNC_IN (LVTTL or RS422 level, latency < 2 µs, max. 1 Hz)  [PPS]
  • 2 x EXT_IN (TTL level, latency < 15 µs, max. 400 Hz)
  • 4 x SYNC_OUT (LVTTL or TTL level, latency < 2 µs, max. 400 Hz)
  • 2 x EXT_OUT (TTL level, latency < 15 µs, max. 400 Hz)
  • Odometer Input (A/B quadrature signal, RS422 level)
  • Ethernet Output: IMU Data, time stamps for all received input channel data
  • Integrated GNSS engine: OEM628, L1L2 GPS+GLONASS+Beidou, RTK / TerraStar
