Localization of autonomous driving people movers with iMAR INS/GNSS technology
On July 13, 2023 AVL demonstrated their new autonomous people mover AutBus in Roding in Germany.
We congratulate AVL on this great success!
The AVL system uses iMAR's iNAT INS/GNSS localization solution to solve this challenging task. Thanks to iMAR's very user friendly interface via ROS 2 node the integration of the iNAT-M200 into the AVL septup as a plug&play solution had been performed within very short time.
AutBus is a self driving VW Bus vehicle, driving fully automated in the flowing traffic with up to 60 km/hr. More details can be found on the AVL web page.
