High Performance INS/GNSS systems for leading Counter Battery Radar
In Q1/2024 iMAR Navigation GmbH has delivered 25+ high performance inertial navigation systems to ESG (Germany ) for the major mid-life upgrade of the COBRA Counter Battery Radar.
This is already the second major batch of systems for this weapon system.
The contract included the customization and procurement of the now delivered iPRENA-M ring laser gyro based navigation and pointing systems for the COBRA system including MIL GNSS capability and significantly better flexibility, configurability and accuracy than the competitng systems. It is used to to replace the old systems of type MAPS / DRU, manufactured earlier by Honeywell (TM).
iPRENA, iMAR's ITAR free navigation, alignment and pointing solution for highest performance and reliability requirements, is also used on many other well-known military land vehicles and weapon systems from launchers to mortars - technology Made in Germany.
