iIMU-FSAQ: Inertial Measurement System (Gyro + Accelerometer)

Tactical Grade IMU with Trigger, Integrated Power Regulation and Enhanced Accelerometers

The iIMU-FSAQ is a very small size IMU con­sisting of 3 fiber optical gyros (FOG) in closed-loop technology of class 0.9 deg/hr (OTR, over temperature range) and 3 servo-accelerometers of Q-Flex technology. Three classes of accuracy are available, one of the is free of any export restrictions.


  • Gyro Bias OTR and Rate Range: 0.9 deg/hr bias OTR // 450 deg/s range ; 1'200 Hz
  • Accel. Bias OTR and Accel. Range: 160 / 550 / 1'300 µg bias OTR // 10 / 20 / 40 g range ; 1'200 Hz
  • Bias stability (AllanVariance): < 10 µg and < 0.1 deg/hr
  • Interfaces: RS422 UART, CAN
  • used in guidance, stabilisation and control tasks, INS/GPS navigation, surveying applications
  • used in many countries / applica­tions worldwide

The IMU is designed for rugge­dized ap­plications and can be mounted on shock Absorbers on demand. The iIMU-FSAQ can be oper­ated on an unregulated wide range input supply voltage and is protected against wrong polarity and moder­ate over-volt­age. The data output is free running via RS422 UART or CAN.

As an option the system can be delivered with an additional integrated AHRS or navigation proc­essor and with odometer in­ter­face. All sig­nals are fed via an robust water-tight con­nector of type MicroSubD25.

The iIMU-FSAQ is manu­fac­tured in Ger­many and is used in commercial and defense applica­tions as a replace­ment for Litton’s LN-200 or Hon­eywell’s HG1700/1900 or Optolink's IMU500 / TRS500.
